A couple of months ago I read an article about one of GW's slaves who ran away and ended up in N.H. GW actually sent a slave catcher to bring her back but she was able to elude him and stay free. I do transcribe part of my words now, because I record world events from speeches, news articles, etc. But my own thoughts: diary entries and my commentaries, are always off the top of my head, not copied from a prepared speech. Most of the writing is that way. Oh, and some is from my notes from articles, since I don't usually transcribe whole articles.

But look, you just wrote a very nice paragraph to me. That could be an entry on an art piece. You just write Then you go do something else, and when you come back to the art, you write a little more. It gradually builds up over time, and then you have a full piece. Oh, and you don't have to write as much as I do! :) Love, SusanSusan Shiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04989393552017463569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-982932718804213012.post-31459003459151840502010-04-16T09:50:36.505-04:002010-04-16T09:50:36.505-04:00It's the thing I imagine to be most difficult,...It's the thing I imagine to be most difficult, should I ever have the opportunity to attend Turtle Camp: THE WORDS! These just seem to flow forth from you! Do you prepare what you're going to write before you apply pen to fabric? In my mind, I picture you sitting down and starting at the upper left-hand corner and just flowing forth with perfect grammar and punctuation! Is that how it happens? I don't know how you can be so productive if you stopped and thought about it too much. Yet, it all seems to be right there inside you. Well, you ARE phenomenal, of course! xxoo PattyPattyskypantshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17799925854647672151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-982932718804213012.post-44082293403266813812010-04-15T21:11:54.838-04:002010-04-15T21:11:54.838-04:00Hi Sherry! I love Philadelphia Freedom...the skirt/birdcage/birds are genius. That's one of the things I love most about your art is the image/meaning thing. You'd be a good editorial cartoonist. Well, maybe you already are. Plus a whole lot of historical commentary. See you Sat.!Sherrynoreply@blogger.com
